Thanks to my friends Bloguzz I had the opportunity to browse the front pages of the new book by Chilean author Isabel Allende: The Island Under the Sea.

This novel set three centuries behind the times Zarit tells the story of a mulatto girl of Santo Domingo that nine years is sold into slavery. Zarit will go forward and be rid of his slave status overcoming the many obstacles that will be found during his lifetime.
