Last Maryam was released in March, the sixth studio album by the band Saurom Cadiz. In this record, and without apology or criticism of any religion, the group led by narcissistic Lara "The Juggler" wanted to tell the story of The Passion of Jesus Christ seen through the eyes of Mary, his mother from the time when your child will die to save the sins of mankind. On this album we see a critique of the background that women have had throughout history and know how must be the suffering of a mother as she watched the death hung over her son, so far it had no life between his arms.
"The pain consumes me, his injuries and will not bleed ..."
Saurom has taken another step in his musical evolution with this record. Now little remains of folkie-festive group published back in 2001 the keeper of the lost melodies. Disk to disk this group has been away from the path blazed by other bands with more popularity and has forged his own musical style. The folk is still there but the sound is much heavier and more grip. The final output still has a final sound a little dirty, much like Blind Guardian, although not convince me finish that gives it a remarkable power.
Moreover, the aforementioned narcissistic Lara does an excellent job with the lyrics. Escape easy rhymes and produces few letters serious, conscious and flowing without any problems for the melodic line of the spectacular voice voice of Miguel Angel Franco, the singer who grows more and more with each disc publishing. Today may be considered one of the three best vocalists this country metal heads high above popular singers like Jose Andrea (Mago de Oz) and Víctor García (WarCry). And if some good lyrics and a great voice was not enough, in the booklet of the record we can see some minirelatos who develop the history through the songs.
"I pray to you the forgiveness of his soul. Make me be the martyr who desires ... "
In summary, Maryam is one of the best albums of Heavy Metal has given our country in recent years. All to you like this genre you should give it a chance. If I had to give a shout would give this record a 9.
Finally, as a thread talking about a record is meaningless without a small piece of music, I leave you with a video clip Saurom. It owned the video to the song that walk with no return.
Enjoy it.

After 5 years of silence and all that the Spanish geography in hundreds of concerts without much influx trying by all means to survive, the Beethoven R Madrid brought to market its fourth studio album: ... Better late than ever!
This album is Beethoven R 100%, with songs as the band's style may turn out to be very little new. The theme of the songs come to be a combination of Sex and Rock & Roll to which we are accustomed, but maybe the songs are a bit lackluster than usual due to a rather mediocre production. The great defect, coupled with little originality on the issues, causes the disc to become a little harder to digest than they were the first.
But do not blame it all sound and theme. The compositions and the lyrics are quite acceptable and instruments, despite the production, they sound pretty good. I think one of the major flaws of this work is precisely what was the great incentive that gave them so famous in the first two: the singer himself, Ivan Urbistondo.
Ivan very far from the mighty demigod voice that left us all speechless at the beginning of Beethoven R or on stage in four cats. The low life and not paying too much attention to maintaining their vocal qualities makes this album sound very broken, drowned when trying to high tones, and without that magical ability to rise to tones that were once impossible. In this rather short album of the magical production arrangements, these flaws stand out much more. And watch, I am not saying to do wrong (still well above the singers as Andrea and Victor Jose Garcia), simply say it is not even a shadow of what it was.
Other than that, as I said, the disc is pretty good. Good guitars, but without many frills, play their role, a character in a very short because of the production but correct, a good battery and a powerful sound.
In short, the fourth disc of Beethoven R will like any fan of the band but did not reach the soles of his shoes to his first two and exceptional work. But my opinion does not cease to be totally subjective, here I put a sample for you to be yourself which opinéis. This is the song Crazy, I hope you enjoy.
Black Clouds & Silver Linings is the name of the latest album of the American Dream Theater. Albums like this make you fall in love even more music. It is a delight for all ears that everyone, fans of Heavy Metal Progressive or not, should listen to at least a couple of times. A perfect instrumentation, complex compositions and mostly very melodic and flawless production make this one of the best albums of the year ... or the best.

The album, at least that I have, comes in triple CD format. First there is the disc itself with its six songs, then a 6 CD covers, and finally a bonus CD with six songs from CD1 instrumental format. Some of you think you got a record of six songs is an apology, but omitted the fact that the six covers of the second CD, the unsurpassed quality of the songs and most of them exceed the 10-minute changes a bit.
We have everything from the dark and jeviorra A Nightmare To Remember with which it opens up a melodic album The Best Of Times or Wither through songs that seamlessly blend the virtues of the two. Among the versions of the second CD I would stress that Curran has been a topic already spectacular Stargazer.
Anyway, as indeed that of this album is one of those cases where I could spend hours talking about them without even closer to what we can offer you better leave you a small sample for you to be yourself those who valoréis. How I know this blog is visited not only metal fans I am going to put one of the more melodic and emotional: The Best Of Times. The theme tells the story of a son and his father, rather the good memories that stays with the child when his father dies. Sad, sentimental and touching.
PD: I would like to dedicate this song, with all the love in the world, my friends Jon and Veronica.
Your spirit led My Life Each Day
My heart is bleeding bad
But I'll be okay
My life Your spirit guides Each Day
Speaking of Arjen Lucassen's talk about one of the greatest geniuses in the history of heavy metal and talk about Guilt Machine is doing on your next project. We say as we say a genius is a genius, and if someone like Arjen Ayreon leave their projects to create a new group with which to explore his musical masterpiece that smells.

Far from the themes of his operas of heavy metal Perect On This Day, and be called the disc of this new group, we do not speak or science fiction or tell us a story through a few songs. In this case all the tracks on the album revolve around one concept: The psychology of guilt destructive. The introspective themes of the songs will play as sensitive fibers such as guilt, regret or the lies we do to ourselves.
As you see, some people are light years away from the cliches about metal music. On This Perfect Day will come out this August 31 and the members that make up the Guilt Machine are:
- Vocals: Jasper Steverlinck (Arid)
- Battery: Chris Maitland (ex-Porcupine Tree)
- Guitars leader: Lori Linstruth
- Backing vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass, composition, production, etc: Arjen Lucassen
And for all those who entered their curiosity here is the trailer for the album:
