As you may know this blog yesterday changed his domain. This means that, although the blog itself, instead of going through rorpieth.es direction you should start to come through traselcristal.es. Of course, to this chaos you can not keep going for a while both the blog and its contents through the old address.

To celebrate this event with you my readers and, incidentally, put a little kick over the project's World Comment Day in 2009 I decided to divide Blogs 15 invitations to Google Wave, Google's social network from which I already gave my first impressions here. What Google has to do with the Day Wave comment? Here are the bases that you must meet to receive your invitation:

  • You must write in your blog entry talking about the World Day to Comment on Blogs 2009 link in that post all the information about the event. This information can be found HERE.
  • Once posted your entry you must leave a comment here leaving the link to your blog to confirm that you have done correctly.
  • In your comment you must also leave me your Gmail.
  • The invitations you'll send in the leave me your mail and confirm that your blog entry is correct.
  • Only entry will be fifteen and you have time until the tenth day of December. Do not be distributed or invitation after that date even though they have left over.
  • Invitations to Google Wave can take some time to come. One way to speed up the process is, before the invitation to ask me first apply to Google using this link.

After the crystal, after waiting a long time, has finally access the Beta version of the popular Google Wave, the new Google social network. Because, as I commented several months, the Wave Equation (Gmail + Messenger + Twitter + Facebook + wiki + Google = Google Docs Wave) has raised many expectations on the Internet. The point is that, for now, this new social network offers just 20% of what was promised, though with this data we know that we're still at a pre-beta version of what will be the end result reaffirms our hopes.

The newborn Google's social network is taking its first steps in the network, steps which has already achieved far exceed what we offer, for example, such small networks while successful as Twitter. In fact one could say that this sucker is, so far, a kind of super advanced twitter.

Some of the differences between the two social networks are, for example, that while the twits have a maximum length of 120 characters, the waves not only have no limit, but have inherited a text editor to give Google Docs format and the colors you want. The waves are not public as with the blue bird's social network but, as you can do with private messages from facebook, you decide between which friends you want to start that topic of conversation and when they answer you, the rest of that you've selected can also read those responses. Thus, we could say that a wave is a kind of microbloging but something more like a Microfor: an extensive conversation everything you want from various people.

These discussions are sent to your home page in an inbox very similar to that of GMail. With this concept in the reception of messages can be grouped into folders, you can search among all messages to find one in particular or you might even want to mark that as spam.

And these are all the options out there for now. Still can not administer or prove more gadgets than those related to the word processor, nor your own profile, but I am sure that very soon these options and more are also operational. Perhaps when finally the child grows and evolves to Google Beta Wave and we can talk about a variety of options to consider too.

Another thing I would like to explain is the invitation system as confusing Google's Wave, since the network is hot by the tens of thousands of people who are looking for. It's simple: the only social network invitations to Google sends them. A Wave user can not send invitations to other users to connect instantly. The system is a little more complicated, since the alleged 20 "invitations" that gives us that we are in something of feedbacks that invitations themselves, so we do not invite the users but suggested. I mean, Google should have an almost endless list of people who have subscribed to the beta, so all they do invitations for users to suggest we move within certain users to enter. In this way, and as if it were a positive feedback, our suggested escalate positions in the waiting list and receive your invitation something ahead of schedule. So if you register at https: / / wave.google.com / to receive your invitation you take 3 days to one or two months to get your invitation depending on how many people you have suggested.

Thus, summarizing, some might say that this first draft of what will surely become one of the most popular social networking sites is very limited but very promising. As from now this blog is within'll inform you of the changes that are being made.

PS: After the Glass would like to thank Ernie, Ceci, José GDF, Lucia and Mr. Rockmantica the fact that they are the 5 best commentators on this blog by sending them as soon as I confirm that they are subscribed to the beta, one of the popular "invitations" or feedbacks so that they too can try this social network. Thank you very much for your support five of the blog and I hope soon we meet there.

It's here the new era of communications, a new step forward in the social networks that this time is given by one of the giants of the industry: Google. The equation that we offer is: Gmail + Messenger + Twitter + Facebook + wiki + Google = Google Docs Wave.

Yes friends, people from Google are willing to intervene decisively in the war between Facebook and Twitter for months. The question I have is: Are we ready for something that gives us all or, conversely, we will begin to smoke out the ears at such a possibility?

I am facebookers for months, I am not convinced at all but after investigating the site and read about the possibilities of competition I think, by far the most complete. That yes, perhaps it is because you will gradually facing down the colossus Microsoft, but the fact is that Google will have a special affection, and I think I'll give her a chance to wave when you leave. I want to forget about msn (I want to uninstall a few years ago ...) and I feel like something more complete than Facebook. We will have to see what happens with this project and if it comes to fruition because people are by nature fixed-gear, and it will be difficult to convince Tuenti, the twitters and facebookers of changing ...

If you want to know everything, everything and everything about this podructo here I leave the video of the Google presentation Wave.
