In late 2007 came to market one of the best action role-playing games of all time. BioWare, creators of sagas role as decorated as Baldurs Gate and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, showed once again that are light years ahead compared to other popular franchises such as Final Fantasy Japanese exposing a very adult game of science fiction with a dramatic plot, characters with lots of charisma, and some steamy scenes between our hero and his fellow aliens who gave much to speak to the more puritanical.

Now the Commander Shepard returns to the load on his shoulders and back to shift the responsibility to save all mankind. New partners, new powers, new intrigue, lots of action and critical decisions are what awaits us in the second part of this game. Mass Effect 2, which this year will surely get the award for best role-playing game as it got in 2009 his Brother Dragon Age, will be released on January 29 in the PC and XBOX360 platforms.

Yesterday was released Dragon Age Origins, one of the most anticipated role-playing games of recent times, which came to us with the difficult mission to accomplish to overshadow the great Baldurs Gate 2, considered by most as the best role-playing game history. A priori and seeing that, despite his great quality games like Oblivion or Mass Effect did not reach the quality of the legendary game, the mission seemed almost but this new work has exceeded all expectations.

In 2000, the company revolutionized the world of BioWare's role-playing games with the sequel to its game based on the universe of Forgotten Realms Baldurs Gate: Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. The fact that a game with 9 years old and already outdated graphically continue playing and not only that, but the players keep getting mods, patches and new characters and adventures helps us get used to the idea of the grandeur of this title. For many BG2 is simply unbeatable, many other games have tried to unseat great adventures, some titles with exquisite graphics or unlimited exploration possibilities, but failed to take his throne.

But BioWare, which has continued to give great joy to fans of the RPG genre with titles like Mass Effect or Knights of the Old Republic, decided that we had been too many years without a successor worthy of his legendary game and began to work with his new adventure: Dragon Age Origins. Removing that in this new game there so many characters that accompany you in the adventure, Dragon Age has been known to stay with the other great things they did to their ancestor, including a mapped system in which we choose what particular area of we map instead of giving us the overrated total freedom of movement is so popular. It is one of the greatest risks he has taken this game but the charisma of the characters and the splendid story soon makes us forget this handicap.

The story has the best of some of the best medieval fantasy books of our time. Character with charisma like we are in the saga of Geralt of Rivia (actually is a witch who reminds me inevitably to Yennefer), large plots and betrayals between realms in the style of Song of Ice and Fire, and even mythical groups warriors who have come down over time that has reminded me of the Jedi Star Wars film saga. The story takes many turns and this time yes, the decisions we make during the game have much influence on subsequent developments. This gives a great replayability to the game as many times as long as it gives you the typical question of "what if instead of doing this would have done this?" In addition, from the beginning there are many possibilities as it depends on the breed and class of character that we believe there are six different principles for the game.

The characters, as I said earlier, have a charisma matched only by their personalities. It plays very much in favor of the game as we witness something as unusual as our hero fox call one of our escorts or escort between them are made broth to each other. Sometimes definitely not a bad idea to bring in the same group a character and a very good-natured sarcasm with a totally different mindset ... the friction is inevitable.

In short, if only a few hours I played this game I can realize that we are in the best title in ROL (in full) I have known since the mythical Baldurs Gate 2. In fact, I burned as a heretic if you will, I dare say that Dragon Age Origins will not only equal, but perhaps even exceed it. I do not know, should be throwing rle hours of play and see if the plot takes so many turns as in the Baldurs ... but for now all very well painted.

I recommend this title to any fan of video games, because it seems to me essential to understand how a game, its history, its characters and its impressive soundtrack can not only equal in quality fabric and film blockbusters or television, but also can match the great literary fantasy sagas of our time.

In the world of video games, as happens in the film or literature, to innovate with the latest technology and special effects or spend millions on advertising need not be related to product quality. Therefore, the absence of these "virtues" does not mean that a game is bad.

An example of this is Mount & Blade, a game that almost nobody ever heard, but those who know that we played is different, enveloping and far superior to many others that surpass it in fame and media.

What is Mount & Blade? You could say it's an RPG with strategic dyes in some ways reminiscent of the saga Heroes of Myth and Magic, but has the quality to get you fully in the fighting in your army in a way never view. It is a game with some gaps, but get to play your hero dealing blows in battle 100 to 100 while doing everything possible to bring order to all that chaos directing your army's strategy is priceless. What do you think of leading the siege of a castle or city with ladders or siege tower while defending army to crush you sew?

Mount & Blade is a game with a pretty poor argument in which you create your character and you're suddenly in the middle of a map with a few nations warring with each other without any introduction or boasts history, but the absence of lines argument gives the player a total and complete freedom of unusual events and movements. You can be a simple merchant, a farmer, a caravan robber ... whatever you want! And if this were not enough the game includes an option to load mods, and this is one of its strengths because people's imagination is endless and you can even find a mod that takes you to the medieval iberia ...

As you'll notice this is a game I love, and although the purists may play role of repelling them their shortcomings in the plot) is a highly recommended game for those who seek something more and want to feel like a true medieval warrior.
